If you are mechanical inclined and have worked with delicate electronics you can do this. It took me less than an hour and the Ipod is like new! HInt, take your time and use a blow dryer to release the old screen, if you don’t it will probably break the tiny thin plastic edge which has to be reused to complete the repair. I watched several U tube videos and had no problem. Local store wanted $160 to do what I did for less than $30.

This part is priced very well, and worth it, it’s easy to install, it even has the useful tools to put it in. Kudos to Wireless Finest for their perfect item.

The screen itself was brand new and in perfect condition. The tools are cheap and hard to use (I ended up using a tiny flathead screwdriver to pry the old screen off), but not the reason I purchased this kit. The actual process of changing out an iPod screen is difficult though, even for someone who is electronically savy. The ribbon connecting the screen to the iPod is so sensitive; I ended up tearing through two of them before finally giving up.

It’s exactly as advertised. What more do you want me to say? If you’re not confident in your skills for installing such a thing, don’t even attempt it. Send it in and get it repaired that way as a lot can go wrong here.
As for the product itself? It came in perfect condition and it was properly wrapped/shipped. I thought it was a nice touch that they also included screen protectors on both sides of the glass. It ensured that the glass remained crystal clear during the entire installation process.
The tools were basic and somewhat useful. At the very least, they’re better to have than not.
