The adapter works well as long as the prongs don’t break. Care must be taken when removing the adapter from the wall socket any little motion can break one of the prongs thereby making the adapter useless.

It’s perfect – I love it! Just plug one end of the cable into my iphone and the other end plugs into an electrical socket. Exactly what I needed! Highly recommended – much easier than charging through the PC.

I purchased this charger because it seemed like the perfect way to be able to charge and use my iPod while in bed. Also, with three out of five people in my family having MP3 players of some sort, and all of them using the family computer, it is pretty difficult and frustrating finding time to charge my iPod.
First of all, it is indeed a genuine wall charger made by Apple. How do I know this? Not only is there the familiar green dot on the backside of the charger, but above that reads, “Designed by Apple in California.” Furthermore, as far as I can tell, the USB cable included is exactly the same as the cable that came with my iPod Touch 2g.
Being made by Apple, you would expect this product to perform perfectly. Rest assured, it does just that. When I plugged the cable into my completely depleted iPod, the charging screen with the battery appeared just as it does when using a computer. To my surprise, when I went back downstairs two and a half hours later, I saw that the little plug in the top right hand corner of the iPod was actually there, indicating a full charge. It’s also very nice not having to safely eject by clicking a button. Just unplug it from the iPod and you’re on your way!
The charger is pretty much a rectangle with rounded edges. I would say the face is about an inch wide; the length, maybe an inch and a half. The prongs on the back are tapered, and both of them are the same size. This makes it very easy to plug in, even in the dark! (I always seem to have a problem with this.)
I bought this charger from Starlight Mobile for $10. It arrived fairly quickly, only three days after I ordered it. When I opened the simple, yet protective packaging, I was very happy to find that they now include a free car charger for a limited time! This car charger is not an Apple product but it DOES work. It seems to charge just as well as both the computer and the wall chargers do. However, I don’t know that for sure yet because I only plugged it in for a 20 minute drive today. Apparently other companies are sending knock-offs of this product, so I highly recommend ordering from Starlight Mobile.
Overall, I would say:
Pros:
- Only $10 compared to around $30 elsewhere, including Apple’s website.
- Genuine Apple product.
- Extra USB cable.
- FREE car charger if you order from Starlight Mobile.
- Possibly charges even faster than a computer does.
- Very convenient to be able to charge next to your bed, or anywhere else in the house for that matter.
- You’ll most likely find more pros for yourself.
Cons:
- You will regret not buying this product a long time ago.
- I couldn’t give this product more than five stars.
This is a great, very convenient, and high-quality product made by Apple for CHEAP. If you need a wall charger for your iPod, this is the way to go. You won’t regret purchasing this product. Just be careful who you buy it from.

If you haven’t gotten one yet, it’s time you did.
It’s so convenient to charge your Ipod without having to always plug it into the computer–especially if your computer is in another room and shared by others.
Though a bit pricey for a simple charger, it’s a good product; worked just like it was suppose to.
